Developing World Bioethics welcomes submissions based on empirical evidence. Our understanding of empirical evidence is broad – from case studies to populational surveys, from visual content to historical narratives. In contrast to other health-related journals, Developing World Bioethics does not have a preference for quantitative or qualitative studies; methodology is an author’s decision. And the reason is simple: empirical evidence is just one aspect of what makes a paper worthy of publication in the journal. As editors, we are looking ahead to the future of bioethics: we want to include empirical evidence to enlarge the community of developing world bioethicists, but also to enrich bioethics in academic settings and to make it more useful in public debates in different countries.
