The book Anencefalia e Supremo Tribunal Federal presents the transcription of the debate that took place at the Regional Medical Board of Bahia (CREMEB), headquartered in Salvador, in August 2004. The event was part of a “Debate Caravan” about anencephaly and Brazil’s Supreme Court, promoted by Anis – Institute of Bioethics, Human Rights and Gender. The goal was the democratization of the debate around the topic of therapeutic anticipation of childbirth in cases of anencephaly, raised by the Claim of Non-Compliance with a Fundamental Precept (ADPF) and the injunction issued by Supreme Court justice Marco Aurélio de Mello.
