Ensuring the right to health remains a challenge to be faced in Brazil. Some of the challenges are expressed in the precariousness of information access, as well as in the obstacles to access specialized services and treatments. Different layers of vulnerability, along with poverty and health problems, demand complex strategies to guarantee integral health care. In this sense, demands for judicialization of health access are not uncommon. Understanding this phenomenon is a fundamental step towards the improvement of public policies.
