This book brings together articles written by students and professors who took part in the first specialization course in bioethics (I Curso de Especialização em Bioética) in Brazil’s North and Northeast. It is the result of a successful academic experience, and the authors represent a generation of researchers who are committed to democratizing bioethics in the country. The book can be read both horizontally and vertically. While it is a sequence of ideas, the chapters can also be read as independent pieces.
